When we first set up our Twitter accounts, we spent minutes (if not hours) deciding on the right username and the right personal name to match and that was great…for a while. Soon after, it is easy to get bored so we are going to show you exactly how to change Twitter handle.
When people ask how to change a Twitter name, many reply that it is impossible. This is a common myth. Untrue, as you can change your name on Twitter in just a matter of seconds. Start by logging into your account and clicking on ‘account settings’; this can be found from the drop-down menu in the top-right hand corner of the screen. Once the page has loaded, you will see your Twitter name with a box next to it providing an option to type something new. Of course, you can’t use a name that is already being used but you will be prompted to try something different if this is the case.
As soon as you are finished, click ‘save changes’ and you will have a completely new Twitter name. If you didn’t want to change your username but instead your personal name next to it, just click on your profile and click ‘edit profile’; from here, you will have the ability to change your profile picture, your header, and your personal name.
So there we have it, how to change your Twitter name; the process couldn’t be easier. This is always a good thing to know just in case you change your brand, fancy a username change, decide to start using your real name, or any other reason!
